Overall, I was really impressed with the Lumie Bodyclock Rise 100. It drastically improved my morning routine, and I've found waking up so much easier ever since my purchase. On a normal non-Lumie evening, I’d lie in bed for about four hours trying to get to sleep. Within a week, it was more like two hours and things continued to improve as time went on. After a month of use it was only taking me about 40 minutes to fall asleep. I was shook. And after six months? I could fall asleep in five to 10 minutes.

So, I've long been on the hunt for hacks to make cold, dark mornings less gloomy. I've tried everything from breathwork training, to journalling in my wellness planner, to setting positive affirmations for the day ahead - but the one thing that's made the biggest difference to my morning is a sunrise alarm clock. I now swear by mine to get me up in the morning and yes, I do notice a difference to my sleep quality when I don't use one. I have to say, the Lumie is very easy to use and forget about – in a good way. Its slim design means it’s not cumbersome, and could be easily transported into an office or go with you in a bag if you’re changing locations. As I became more accustomed to the morning blast of light, I kept noticing the positive effects. I definitely felt a boost of energy on most mornings which helped me to last throughout the day.

I’ve been using a Lumie SAD lamp for almost two months - I can’t believe the difference it's made to my energy and mood ...
